signDo you have a car, a clock, and a child that can choose a direction like left, right or straight ahead? If you answered yes to all the previous criteria, then you have all the tools you need to conduct a Driveabout!

What is a Driveabout you ask? Well according to John a co-worker of mine, “It’s an adventure using your car!” The first thing to do is load all the participants into the vehicle. Next, head out on to the open highway. Once on the highway, determine a time limit such as thirty minutes. Now the adventure begins!

Have each participant take a turn choosing the direction to go when more than one choice is offered. The only rule is that you must take turns and each person gets a turn. See where you end up at the end of thrity minutes. One thing to note, make sure you know how to get home. Last time I checked, they didn’t make ruby colored slippers anymore.
