How to save some cash flying with the family this holiday!

Driving in the station wagon to grandma’s house was how we traveled during my childhood holidays. Now with families living all over the country, flying is becoming more common. It’s expensive enough buying a plane ticket for one person, let alone buying four to go to Grandma’s! Allow me to suggest taking a look at a relatively new player in the airline industry, Skybus.

Skybus which is based out of Columbus, Ohio offers flights to the following cities: Boston (Portsmouth, NH), Chattanooga, TN, Columbus, OH, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Fort Myers (Punta Gorda, FL), Greensboro, NC, Hartford (Westover, MA), Jacksonville/Daytona Beach (St. Augustine, FL), Kansas City, MO, Los Angeles (Burbank, CA), Milwaukee, WI, New Orleans (Gulfport-Biloxi, MS), Richmond, VA, San Diego, CA, San Francisco (Oakland, CA), and Seattle/Vancouver (Bellingham, WA).

Their cities may not be that many, but the nice thing about their flights are the ticket prices. On each flight Skybus offers 10 seats for $10! Quite a savings from traditional airlines. Once those tickets are scooped up, the price can range from $20 and up. Still quite a savings! However, if you’re looking for the $10 seats, you’ll have to book farther out in advance than you may be used to… but it’s worth it!
