Mattel and Fisher-Price add more toys to the recall list

In the past several months the general public has been inundated by multiple recalls for children’s toys. Last night Mattel and Fisher-Price added even more toys to the list due to high lead exposure in the paints.

Mattel added many (675,000 units) Barbie accessories to the recall list including:

  • Barbie Dream Puppy House™ (lead paint on dog)
  • Barbie Dream Kitty Condo™ Playset (lead paint on cat)
  • Barbie Table and Chairs Kitchen Playset (lead paint on dog, chip platter, dinner plates)
  • Barbie Bathtub and Toilet Playset (lead point on cat)
  • Barbie Futon and Table Living Room Playset (lead paint on cat)
  • Barbie Desk and Chair Bedroom Playset (lead paint on dog)
  • Barbie Couch & Table Living Room Playset (lead paint on purse)

Fisher-Price issued a recall for:

  • Geo Trax Freightway Transport
  • Geo Trax Special Track Pack Locomotive toys
  • Bongo Band toys
