Whyville.com, a place for tweens to hang out and learn

WhyvilleWhyville.com, a virtual city of 1.7 million 8-15 year olds aims to engage young people in constructive educational activities while promoting socially responsible behavior. While interacting with each other, Whyville citizens can complete activities in civics, math, science, art, and economics.

Whyville.com was started as a hands-on learning environment for kids to learn about science by Caltech scientists. Membership is free, Whyville’s revenue comes from the organizations that teach their topics of interest such as NASA, Adobe, Toyota, and Sun Microsystems.

      I LOVE whyville!! I found out about it in a teen magazine called the M!

      i think whyville is a great place. im on every single day. its great for kids and all of that kind of stuff

      I am actually a whyville citizen.. i go on liek everyday i haev many friends on there its a awesoem place to hang out fool around learn and have fun! its AMAZING! <3

      im a whyville citizen.whyville is fun when your friends r there to talk to.whyville is boring when u sit there wondering when your friends will come. my user nME ON WHYVILLE IS Anna298.and i have alot of friends.my very first friend was Eli421. :D he my buddy

      Well im a whyville citizen but my account just got banished and it really sucks but i am working on making a new account which will be Samluvsu7 :D but i think whyville is REALLY fun so you can talk to friends and mess around. I go on everyday :) its a lot of fun and i would encourage more people to sign up!
